“We already know how vibrant the film community is here in the Twin Towns, but it’s not often animators get to show off their talent. Now in its third year, the MinnAnimate festival showcases the best Minnesota-made animated films. There will be a bunch of different types of animated films taking on a bunch of different topics, and to get a feel for what will be part of the festival check out the program list. Also, you should watch the cool trailer they put together for the show (they also have the trailers for the first two festivals on the website). The show takes place at St. Anthony Main Theater, and it’s perfect because apparently we’ve already hit stay-inside-and-watch-a-movie weather. 7 p.m. $8.50 (general admission), $6 (students/seniors), $5 (film society members). —EDJ”
